City of Dublin Time Capsule Project

  • City of Dublin 6700 Dublin Boulevard Dublin, California, 94568 United States (map)

The Dublin Historical Society officially participated in the city of Dublin's Time Capsule Project being buried on July 4, 2026! The time capsule will be buried for 50 years and reopened in 2076.

We were honored to participate.

In our time capsule we included:

  • A letter from the current board with a warm message to future Dublin

  • A copy of our articles of incorporation

  • A transition of name email from Dublin Historical Preservation Association(DHPA) to DHS

  • Our first newsletter highlighting the achievements from our 2025-2026 fiscal year

  • A flyer for our first public archiving event (the beginning of our process to digitize historical images and documents and make them available from our website)

  • Several photos of key DHS events and supporters

Together, the Dublin Historical Society with the help of our members and volunteers have helped capture the fabric and spirit of Dublin's history from years past via DHPA that transitioned into Dublin Historical Society of today.

As a long-time member and DHS Vice President Claudia McCormick often reminded us: “The past starts now.” We hope you carry that spirit forward.

We hope you'll join us as we celebrate this historic milestone during the America 250 festivities.
